To check how much RAM you have available on your Windows-based system, right click the My Computer icon. Click on Properties to display the General tab. The General tab will display your operating system and the amount of RAM you have installed.

To check how much RAM (Memory) you have available on your Macintosh under OS X, select About This Mac under the Apple menu. Then click on More Info.

To check how much RAM you have on your Macintosh running under an older operating system, go to Control Panels and select Memory. The RAM disk size will be displayed.
