Cable modem speeds vary, depending on the cable modem system, cable network architecture, and traffic load. Although capable of higher speeds, the Alameda P&T cable Internet system will support cable modems running up 3Mbps (Megabits per second) download x 128Kbps (Kilobits per second) upload, depending on the type of AlamedaNET package you have subscribed to. (Download is data going to your computer while upload is data leaving your computer.)
