Nicely done show about what is fast becoming an institution.

This documentary is a nicely done window into the making (and performance) of the Alameda Ballet's Nutcracker -- it shows some of the performance but doesn't give too much away, and the background interviews, particularly with Artistic Director Abra Rudisill, are quite interesting. I would have liked to have seen some backstage/preparation footage on the evening of the performance, and maybe a touch less of the dancers' interviews, but overall, a very nice piece that makes me look forward to seeing the Nutcracker in Alameda this year.
