Though this show made an art of making seemlessly seamless actor transitions, it seems like it's time is over. Though still more intelligent than most mainstream network TV, a better bet is catching the endless old reruns in syndication.

They've already run out of storylines but I'm still hooked. This is still the best of all Law and Order series. One of the best crime dramas ever.
