Automatic Utility Payments

There is a way to pay your Alameda Power & Telecom bill without ever writing a check, buying stamps, or driving to the nearest utility payment location. Your utility bill payment can now be withdrawn automatically from your bank account each month using our free Automatic Payment Service.

With this service, your Alameda Power & Telecom bill is always paid on time without any inconvenience to you. Before funds are actually transferred, a statement is mailed to you. Your statement shows the due date and amount of the payment to be withdrawn from your account and gives you time to make any bill inquiries or ensure that your account has the necessary funds.

Fill out an Automated Payment Service Application or, if you need more information, contact a Customer Service Representative 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday at 510-748-3900.

Why the Return Envelope?
At this time, customers using our Automatic Payment Service still receive a return envelope with the monthly statement for electric service. Inclusion of this envelope is part of an automated process for distributing statements.

In order to conserve resources, we are working to exclude this extraneous envelope from monthly statements to our Automatic Payment Service customers and hope to do so by the end of 2007. In the interim, please note that the costs of manually removing this envelope far exceed the costs that would be saved, and inclusion of this envelope does not increase postage costs. However, please be assured that we share our community’s resource conservation and operational efficiency goals.
