Paying Your Electric Service Bill
Clean Future Fund

There are six convenient ways of paying your electric service bill:

Automatic Bill Payment Plan

Sign up for the Alameda Power & Telecom Payment Service and your bank, savings and loan, or credit union will pay your electric bill each month automatically. And here's the best part — this convenient service is absolutely free to all customers!

Just complete this form and your financial institution will deduct the amount of your electric bill from any account you choose. We'll handle everything and send you a confirmation of the transaction.

The amount of your monthly electric bill will be deducted from your account 15 to 25 days after your statement has been mailed, giving you plenty of time to review your statement before it's paid. The exact date of automatic deduction will be shown on your bill.

Call 748-3900 during regular business hours for more information.

Online Electric Bill Payment is Available

If this is the first time you're using Alameda P&T's new eCARE system, you must first establish account access:

  1. Get a recent electric bill: you will need your new account number and a meter number.
  2. You will also be asked for the zip code where you receive service, the name as it appears on the bill, and an email address.
  3. Your (temporary) password will be emailed to you, and you may then log in.
  4. Once logged in, you may change your assigned password to something you're more likely to remember.

Electronic Bill Payments Through Your Bank

Many banks and other financial institutions offer online bill-paying tools. Instead of writing checks and buying stamps, you can pay virtually anyone, anytime, anywhere you have Internet access.

You may still get a paper bill, but make your payment online.

Each institution has differing procedures, so contact your bank for details on this option.

E-Billing Is Currently Unavailable

If in the past you've received your electric bill electronically and made payment online using a bill payment service provider, please note that this option is currently unavailable. We plan to offer this option again in the future.

You can, however, receive your bill through the mail and pay online through your bank (see above for Electronic Bill Payments Through Your Bank).

U.S. Mail

Receive your bill the traditional way - by mail. Mail back your payment in the self addressed envelope. (If you've lost the envelope, our mailing address is 2000 Grand Street, Alameda, CA 94501.)
