Getting a Password - Electric Account Access
To make an electric payment online or to take advantage of other
eCARE services, you must first enable account access.
- Get a recent electric bill: you will need your new account number and a meter number.

You will also be asked for the zip code where you receive service, the name as it appears on the bill, and an email address.
- Your (temporary) password will be emailed to you, and you may then log in.
- Once logged in, you may change your assigned password to something you're more likely to remember.

If You're Moving
Typically, your password will travel with you if you move within Alameda
from one residence to another. However, we urge you to check with a Customer
Service Representative to verify that your password has been transferred
along with your other account information.
