Website Troubleshooting
Some pages on the Alameda P&T website, such as the eCARE system
and online cable TV or Internet service ordering, require the setting of session
variables. (A session variable is a sort of temporary cookie.)
If you are having trouble using these pages,
you may need to enable the setting of such temporary cookies:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer:
- In your browser, go to Tools > Internet Options
- Click on the "Security" tab
- Click on the "Trusted Sites" icon
- Click on the "Sites..." button
- In the "Trusted Sites" window, type "https://ecare.alamedapt.com/" and
/or "http://www.alamedapt.com" in the "Add
this Web site to the zone" text box, and click "Add", then "OK"
- Firefox
- Go to Tools > Options, then expand the "Cookies" heading by selecting the plus sign to the left.
- Check the "Allow sites to set cookies" box; if you wish, you may also check the "for the originating
site" box as well, and specify that the cookie be kept only until you close Firefox.
- Or, if you prefer not to allow all cookies to be set, select the "Exceptions" button.
- In the "Exceptions" window, type "https://ecare.alamedapt.com/" and
/or "http://www.alamedapt.com/" in the "Address of web site
text box.
- Choose either "Allow" or "Allow for session", and select "OK".
- Netscape
- Go to https://ecare.alamedapt.com/ or
to http://www.alamedapt.com/.
- Go to Tools > Cookie Manager, and select "Allow Session Cookies from this Site"
Back to FAQs.
