Website Troubleshooting

Some pages on the Alameda P&T website, such as the eCARE system and online cable TV or Internet service ordering, require the setting of session variables.  (A session variable is a sort of temporary cookie.) If you are having trouble using these pages, you may need to enable the setting of such temporary cookies:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer:
  
  1. In your browser, go to Tools > Internet Options
  2. Click on the "Security" tab
  3. Click on the "Trusted Sites" icon
  4. Click on the "Sites..." button
  5. In the "Trusted Sites" window, type "https://ecare.alamedapt.com/" and /or "http://www.alamedapt.com" in the "Add this Web site to the zone" text box, and click "Add", then "OK"
  
• Firefox
  
  1. Go to Tools > Options, then expand the "Cookies" heading by selecting the plus sign to the left.
  2. Check the "Allow sites to set cookies" box; if you wish, you may also check the "for the originating site" box as well, and specify that the cookie be kept only until you close Firefox.
  3. Or, if you prefer not to allow all cookies to be set, select the "Exceptions" button.
  4. In the "Exceptions" window, type "https://ecare.alamedapt.com/" and /or "http://www.alamedapt.com/" in the "Address of web site text box.
  5. Choose either "Allow" or "Allow for session", and select "OK".
  
• Netscape
  1. Go to https://ecare.alamedapt.com/ or to http://www.alamedapt.com/.
  2. Go to Tools > Cookie Manager, and select "Allow Session Cookies from this Site"
