Deposits for Residential Electric Service

Alameda Power & Telecom requires that each applicant for residential electric service complete a standard Application for Service and establish credit.

Customers who cannot establish credit are required to pay a deposit equal to two months average service. Customers whose power has been disconnected for nonpayment are also required to pay a deposit. An average residential deposit is $100.
