Cable Television Franchise Fee

Purpose

Section 6.1 of Alameda Power & Telecom's Cable Communications Franchise Agreement (City of Alameda Ordinance Number 2806) requires it to pay a fee to the City of Alameda as a consideration for its "occupation and use of the public rights of way and other public property" for providing cable television services.

Applicability

This fee is applied to the bills for cable television service for all Alameda Power & Telecom customers.

Rate

5.0% of all charges before taxes and fees.
