ENERGY STAR qualified electronics have energy-saving technology that helps protect the
environment without sacrificing performance.
Products that earn the ENERGY STAR prevent greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy
efficiency standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S.
Department of Energy (DOE). To date, more than 18,000 product models have earned the ENERGY STAR.
These products range from dishwashers to DVD players.
The environmental and financial benefits of choosing these products have been astounding.
To date, Americans have purchased more than one billion ENERGY STAR qualified products.
Last year alone, Americans — with the help of ENERGY STAR — saved enough energy to
power 15 million homes, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to taking 15 million cars
off the road, all while saving $7 billion on their energy bills.
Now that's next generation technology.
