Schedule A-2
General Service - Demand-Metered
Applicability
This schedule is applicable to customers with single-phase or polyphase
alternating current service, or to a combination thereof, whose usage
during any six months out of the last 12 consecutive months: 1) equals
or exceeds 8,000 kWh and 2)
is less than 500 kW of monthly demand. Should energy consumption fall
below 7,000 kWh for any 6 months out of the most recent 12 consecutive
months, Alameda Power
& Telecom (Alameda P&T) will bill under Schedule
A-1.
Customers qualifying for service under this schedule are also eligible
for service under Schedule A-1, except those customers
with power factors of less than 95%. However, only one rate schedule
change is allowed every 12 months
except by mutual agreement between the Customer and Alameda P&T.

Definitions and Special Conditions
- METERED DEMAND
The Metered Demand is the maximum average power taken per meter during any 15-minute
interval in the month, provided that, in case the load is intermittent or
subject to violent
fluctuations, Alameda P&T may use a 5-minute instead of a 15-minute interval.
- DISTRIBUTION CHARGE
The charge for low voltage delivery of electric power at the local level, including billing
and metering costs.
- PUBLIC PURPOSE CHARGE
The California state-mandated charge supporting funding of energy efficiency, new renewable
resources, low-income, and research and development programs.
- GENERATION CHARGE
Charge recovering the cost of providing energy supply including generation and transmission
costs.
- PRIMARY VOLTAGE DISCOUNT
When the customer owns all the transformers, and delivery hereunder is made at the same
voltage as that of the distribution line from which the service is supplied, a discount of
3% for 11 kV or higher available line voltages and 2% for available line voltages of 2 kV to
10 kV will be applied to all charges except taxes, provided, however, Alameda P&T is not
required to supply service at a non-standard voltage. Alameda P&T retains the right to
change its line voltage at any time, after reasonable advance notice to any customer
receiving a discount hereunder and affected by such change, and such customer then has the
option to change its system so as to receive service at the new line voltage or to accept
service (without discount) through transformers to be supplied by Alameda P&T.
- POWER FACTOR
Charges for any month as computed above will be adjusted for the power factor according to
Rider PF.
- RULES and REGULATIONS
Other conditions, as specified in Alameda P&T's
Rules and Regulations, shall apply to this electric
rate schedule.
