Residential Service

Applicability

This schedule is applicable to single-phase residential service for single-family dwellings and multi-family dwellings separately metered by Alameda Power & Telecom (Alameda P&T). Service to common areas of multi-family accommodations is not applicable under this schedule.

State and Local Taxes

To the above charges will be added any applicable state and local taxes (refer to Rider UUT and Rider ERS for current tax rates) and charges for the state solar PV program (refer to Rider PV).

Definitions and Special Conditions

  1. BASELINE RATES
    Baseline rates are applicable only to residential usage billed under a residential rate schedule.
  2. DISTRIBUTION CHARGE
    The charge for low voltage delivery of electric power at the local level, including billing and metering costs.
  3. PUBLIC PURPOSE CHARGE
    The California state-mandated charge supporting funding of energy efficiency, new renewable resources, low-income, and research and development programs.
  4. GENERATION CHARGE
    Charge recovering the cost of providing energy supply including generation and transmission costs.
  5. TIER I (BASELINE) & TIER II (101-130% of BASELINE) QUANTITIES
    Baseline quantities vary for summer and winter season and depending on the primary heat source (gas or electric). The following quantities of electricity are to be billed at the Tier I and Tier II rates:

  6. TIER III (OVER 130% of BASELINE)
    All usage in excess of Tier II will be billed at the Tier III rates.
  7. SEASONAL RATE CHANGES
    Summer and winter Tier I and Tier II quantities will normally be billed without seasonal proration for six consecutive billing periods starting with the beginning of the May and November billing cycles, respectively.
  8. MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGES
    Monthly charges shall not be less than $5.00.
  9. RULES and REGULATIONS
    Other conditions, as specified in Alameda P&T's Rules and Regulations, shall apply to this electric rate schedule.
