Municipal Electric Service - Street Lighting
Applicability
This schedule is applicable to electric service rendered to the City of Alameda
municipal accounts for the street lighting system.

State Taxes
To the above charges will be added any applicable state tax (refer to
Rider ERS for current rate).
Definitions and Special Conditions
- DISTRIBUTION CHARGE
The charge for low voltage delivery of electric power at the local level, including billing
and metering costs.
- PUBLIC PURPOSE CHARGE
The California state-mandated charge supporting funding of energy efficiency, new renewable
resources, low income and research and development programs.
- GENERATION CHARGE
Charge recovering the cost of providing energy supply including generation and transmission
costs.
- OPERATING and MAINTENANCE EXPENSES
This rate includes the normal distribution expenses for operating and maintaining the City
of Alameda street lighting system, including lamps and globes used for replacements. This
rate does not include damage claims.
- UNMETERED STREET LIGHTS
Where street lighting is not metered and operates under local photo electric control, the
unmetered kWh amount will be calculated by Alameda Power and Telecom's (Alameda P&T's)
Engineering Department, and added to the metered kWh amounts for billing purposes. All
kWh's, both metered and calculated, shall be combined on one bill for the complete street
lighting system.
- RULES and REGULATIONS:
Other conditions, as specified in Alameda P&T's
Rules and Regulations,
shall apply to this rate schedule.
