Power Factor Adjustment

Purpose

The Power Factor Adjustment is designed to recover the cost of providing the reactive component of power associated with inductive loads and to encourage customers to correct the poor power factors.

Applicability:

The Power Factor Adjustment is applicable to customers served under Rate Schedules A-1, A-2, A-3, and CT. Where the customer's maximum demand has exceeded 400 kW for three consecutive months and thereafter until it has fallen below 300 kW for 12 consecutive months, bills will be adjusted as follows:
