STATE SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC PROGRAM CHARGE

ALAMEDA, Calif., July 1, 2008 — State Senate Bill (SB1) mandates all California utilities to offer rebates for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on customers' premises. Under the law, Alameda Power & Telecom is required to offer over a 10-year period, $4,200,000 in rebates to customers installing solar PV systems. This charge will collect funds to pay for the solar program rebates.

Effective July 1, 2008, bills for electric service will reflect the State mandated Solar Photovoltaic Program charge of $0.00101 per kilowatt hour.
