Lieutenant Brenden Kettner is the Sea Marshal Branch Chief, at the United States Coast Guard Marine Safety Office, San Francisco Bay, located on Coast Guard Island, Alameda. He is also one of the first Sea Marshals in the nation and a key driver behind the nearly overnight implementation of the extensive Sea Marshall program in the Bay Area following September 11th. At this year's Department of Homeland Security Anniversary Ceremony, Lt. Kettner was presented an award for his leadership role in helping implement San Francisco Bay's Sea Marshal Program.
