Marc R. Planchon showed bravery beyond the call of duty when he rescued a neighbor from an early morning residential fire. After escaping from the building himself, Marc, a tenant, returned to the house to find his neighbor. He found her semi-conscious on the kitchen floor and was able to pull her to safety. She was taken to Alameda Hospital where she was treated for smoke inhalation, second degree burns on her side, and a cut to her knee. Marc's generous and courageous act no doubt saved a life. Nominated by Walter Meyer/Dr. Bob Doerr Back to complete list of Heroes
