Act of Kindness Award

For the past ten years, Ophthalmologist Dr. Philip Gardner, joined by a team of other medical professionals, has traveled to Nuevo Progresso, a small village in Guatemala. There, the team spends two weeks each year providing free treatment to patients. During the two weeks they see about 500 patients and perform approximately 130 eye operations. What an extraordinary Act of Kindness, giving the "gift of sight" to those in need.
