Many of you have given generously this past year to the American Red Cross to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Your donations are much appreciated. Yet as you know, funds are still needed every day to help our friends and neighbors throughout the Bay Area when an unexpected tragedy occurs. We appreciate your support of the Heroes Awards today as one of the many ways we raise money to provide for individuals and families affected by the several hundred local disasters each year.
