Lester Dixon has been recognized by the Koshland Foundation of San Francisco as a Community Leader on Alameda's West End. Lester isn't a drummer or a music teacher, yet his Chipman Middle School Cougar Cadet Drum Corps has won recognition in the Bay Area, Chicago and Arizona. His motto is Each One - Teach One. He encourages his cadets to be leaders and to be creative, and over the past 5 years he has changed the lives of many students.
