Wind River does business globally, but also acts locally, helping the Alameda Food Bank, Alameda Education Foundation, Meals On Wheels, Alameda Family Services, and the American Red Cross carry out their mission. They encourage and challenge their employees to do the same. Partnering with their employees, they answered the last minute plea from the Food Bank for 150 Thanksgiving turkeys for Alamedans in-need, and mobilized to raise $150,000 to assist Hurricane Katrina and Tsunami victims in 2005. Accepting the award for Wind River is Jeff Loehr - V. P. of Human Resources.
