Rear AdmiralJody A. Breckenridge, U.S. Coast Guard:
From the time Rear Admiral Jody A. Breckenridge assumed command of the Eleventh Coast Guard District on March 31, 2006, she has been a great support for the City and citizens of Alameda. She has promoted Alameda as a Coast Guard City, and has spent countless hours volunteering in our community. Her team was recently responsible for the largest capture of cocaine to date and has helped make the Coast Guard an integral part of some of the biggest drug trafficking interventions in the world. Admiral Breckenridge leaves Alameda after one of her 2 year Command to work on a special assignment from the Commandant of the Coast Guard.
